"Charnwood Partnership for Children and Families seeks tenders/expressions of interest from agencies wishing to provide Stay and Play activities within Charnwood’s SureStart Children’s Centres. The CPfCF has made an indicative financial full year allocation of £25,000 2011/12 for this project, to include staffing costs. Grant payable is pro-rata according to delivery period; additional first year start up costs may also be available.

The purpose of the service will be:
To provide high quality “Stay and Play” provision to support an enabling environment for parents and their children under the age of five across Charnwood Borough.

The Charnwood SureStart Children’s Centre programme operates for 48 weeks of the year. Successful tenders for this provision will need to demonstrate their effectiveness in parental/child engagement and consultation. Successful tenders will need to clearly describe a mechanism for consulting with parents and observing children to identify needs and interests to support planning of activities and programme development.

The service will be expected to deliver “Stay and Play” provision within the reach areas of the following Children’s Centre reach areas:-
Shelthorpe, Cobden, Loughborough West, Mountsorrel, Shepshed, Thurmaston/ Syston and Anstey/Birstall

The Partnership would be interested in receiving quotations for delivery of this service to cover individual reach areas or the whole of Charnwood.
