Description

Charnwood Partnership for Children and Families (CPfCF) seeks quotations from agencies wishing to provide Coordination of the Parent Volunteers programme, within Charnwood’s SureStart Children’s Centres.
The indicative financial full year allocation of £35,000 2011/12, to include management, delivery of co-ordination of the volunteer programme. Grant payable is prorata
according to delivery period; additional first year start up costs may also be available.

The purpose of the service will be:

To provide the co-ordination of recruitment, training, development and
placement of parent volunteers to support activities/services provided by
commissioned programmes as part of the Children’s Centre programme
delivery. Through support of the volunteer programme, parent volunteers
will develop the necessary skills and qualities to become key members
within Charnwood Borough’s Children’s Centre programme. Parent
Volunteers will work closely with Children’s Centre Programme Family
Outreach Workers in the running of Parent Forums across the Borough,
facilitating the recording of opinions, needs and views discussed within
the forum. The successful tender, will show how it will engage with more
vulnerable parents, to act as volunteers, supporting improved outcomes
for children under 5 and their families across Charnwood Borough.
The service will be expected to coordinate, recruit and develop parent
volunteers across Charnwood Borough, facilitating activities within the
following children’s centre reach areas:Shelthorpe, Cobden, Loughborough West, Mountsorrel. Shepshed, Thurmaston/Syston and Anstey/Birstall.
The CPfCF are interested in receiving quotations for delivery, to cover
individual, or all reach areas covering Charnwood.
